Shepreth Wildlife Park

On Wednesday 6th July, Dragonfly visited Shepreth Wildlife Park to support our learning about African animals.  We set off with the weather on our side and even a double-decker, air conditioned coach to send us on our way; we were literally on top of the world!

During the day, we were delighted to see animals we were familiar with such as ponies, snakes, a lizard and some beautiful birds of prey; we also learned about animals we were less familiar with such as coatis and capybaras.  We stood up close with to a tiger and the children were delighted to scare Mrs Lawson with a resident tarantula!  

Lunch was a picnic in the park in every way, followed by a play in the pirate ship playground.  We also had a learning session about African animals and their habitats.
