We used different techniques with watercolours: adding salt to wet paint, using crayons before adding paint and laying clingfilm on top when drying. These all gave great watery effects to our paintings once dry. After drying, we used ripped painted paper to add waves and then used pastels to create underwater creatures; then we used green shiny paper for seaweed and tissue paper for coral and rocks.
Take a look at our finished techniques.
