Years 5 & 6 - Falcon Class

Welcome to Falcon Class!

Our teacher is Dr Tether and our teaching assistant is  Mrs Knight.

We are also fortunate to have a specialist sports coach: Mr Duers.

Mrs Ellis teaches us RE, Handwriting and Science and Mrs Catmur from JFAN comes to teach us French every fortnight.

Our class mascot is the Peregrine Falcon – the fastest bird on Earth.

Like our mascot, we persevere, focus and concentrate to achieve what we want.

The Year 6 children are the oldest children in the school and they love to work and play with their buddies in Dragonfly Class.

Although they work hard, their lives do not revolve around SATs!

We have fun in Year 6 and represent our school during sports events throughout the year.

We are very fortunate this year to have some Year 5 children in our class - the more the merrier!

The Year 6 pupils have a lot of responsibility in school such as House Captains, Sports Ambassadors and Dinner Hall Monitors. The Year 5 children have classroom jobs, Class Ambassador and Eco Warrior roles.

We undertake these important roles with enthusiasm and are positive role models for the younger children.

Our topics for the autumn term are Ancient China and Animals (with a focus on the human body).
