Mighty Monarchs

WOW Day

Hedgehog class enjoyed kicking off their new topic 'Mighty Monarchs' with a royal WOW Day. We all came dressed up as kings, queens, princesses and even a few knights. We started by exploring what 'monarch' means, and what kinds of jobs a monarch does. We spoke about what monarchs we know already, and what kind of a person we think a monarch has to be. Then, we did lots of crafty activities: we created our own crowns, painted some self-portraits, made jam tarts and designed castles using blocks and lego. Everybody had such a super day- what a wonderful way to kick off our new topic!
