Safeguarding
The staff and governors of Newport Primary School are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all the children in our care. All members of staff and governors receive regular training as well as refresher update sessions throughout the academic year. We use a system called My Concern to record our safeguarding concerns.

Essex Safeguarding Children Board
In Essex there are seven organisations who are jointly responsible by law for the partnership arrangements for keeping children safe:
- Essex County Council
- Essex Police
- Five of the seven Clinical Commissioning Groups covering the county of Essex
Early Help and Effective Support for Children and Families
Early help aims to give chidlren, young people and families the right support at the right time, to reduce the need for higher level interventions.
