• Goodbye to Year 6

  Today was the day when we said goodbye to our lovely Year 6 class at Newport; although we were still in 'social distancing lockdown', we still managed to give them a day to remember!

  We began with an outdoors assembly where the staff performed a song to them and we then moved onto: prize giving awards, presentation of hoodies and yearbooks and signing of T-shirts. Staff and the class (in bubbles) played a game of football rounders...needless to say, Year 6 won!

  Lunch time was held picnic style in the marquees outside and then the ever important 'water fight' and disco was held on the field...a wonderful day to remember; it was lovely to see the smiles on their faces that they could celebrate their last day at Primary school with a difference!
