Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Sweet singing and joyful celebrations filled the Church as the whole school performed in front of a packed congregation at the Church on Thursday afternoon. Falcon class spoke well as they read the parts of the Christmas story, while Dragonfly class performed their nativity roles alongside this. Each class performed their songs, some with actions and all with gusto! It was a lovely service, led by Reverend Pete, and got everyone into the Christmas spirit.
In late November, the the children at school were set a challenge to design a snow globe as part of a competition with Hill company; a winning design and 3 runners up were chosen to then be made into a giant snowglobe, which would be coming to the school disco, where children could get inside and throw snow!
Robin and Falcon classes also got to complete a snowglobe workshop with Hill company and their representatives and both children and members of staff were interviewed for their promotional event.
All of the children had a fun session of arts and crafts and certainly got into the seasonal mood; they all made a snow globe using recycled craft bits and sang carols whilst working...it was like being in Elf's workshop!
Dragonfly class, Hedgehog class and Badger class enjoyed performing their Christmas play 'The Bethlehem Star' to packed audiences this week after working hard for the last two weeks to put their acting and singing skills to great use.
They sang their hearts out, danced through the tunes (with actions) and smiled through the shows, enjoying every minute! Parents and Carers definitely loved the 'aah' factor, especially as the angels and sheep came on and performed.
It was a wonderful two days, as singing filled the whole school; the school enjoyed the dress performance rehearsal and provided lots of encouragement and clapping!
