Colchester Zoo trip

Hedgehog Class had a fabulous class trip to Colchester Zoo; the children had an amazing day, the sun shone and the children were fabulous ambassadors for the school!

Each group saw an array of different animals close up and with smellovision! The Otters, sealions, giraffes, lions and penguins were firm favourites and the children loved reading the signs, learning facts and they all came back on the coach talking about their day. They learnt great new vocabulary and raised fantastic questions throughout the day and walked their socks off around the park, enjoying following the zoo map to discover the different creatures.

They enjoyed and listened well in the ‘camouflage workshop’ and we all had great fun trying to spot the hidden animals in pictures and seeing footage of animals who mimic different environments around them with their truly amazing skills!
