Croquet with the Newport Croquet Club

On Thursday 4^th July, Falcons and Robins had a surprise visit from the Newport croquet club. Both classes enjoyed learning about the sport through a variety of fun games, helping them to learn to hit the ball accurately with their mallet. They learnt different ways to hold the mallet and they enjoyed trying to score and steal each others points. It was a great morning learning how to play a new sport and we have definitely found some budding croquet players. Thank you to the Croquet club for coming in and giving Year 5 and 6 this lovely opportunity!
