School Meals

Our philosophy wholeheartedly encourages a healthier lifestyle within our school and we ensure that the structure and content of our menus promotes the well being of everyone.

We adhere to the principle of ‘getting the balance right’ which means having enough fruit, salad and vegetables, proteins, fibre and avoiding too much fat, sugar and salt. We want our children to eat well in the dinner hall and perform well in the classroom.

We would like every child to eat a hot meal at lunchtime, for this reason we have omitted the choice of a baguette/wrap as a daily choice. However, we will always cater for children who do not like the choices or have allergies, so please let us know if this is what you prefer for you child.

Children are of course also welcome to bring in a packed lunch.  Please see the link for healthy packed lunch options.  Please note that we discourage chocolate and sweets in a packed lunch and ask that they are healthy and balanced.  Some children in our school are allergic to nuts.  We are therefore a strictly nut free school.  This does also include food items such as Nutella - please check all ingredients before putting them in your child's lunch box - thank you for your understanding and support.

Also please ensure that grapes, cherry tomatoes and cocktail sausages are all cut vertically.

Our menu is updated each half term.  You can find the latest one below.
