Robin Class took part in this month's community cafe and the class took a trip down to Debden Grange, the local retirement village, to spend time with the residents for the afternoon.
The whole class had a super time and started the afternoon singing some of their favourite 'Young Voices' songs to the residents; a roaring rendition of 'Lambeth Walk, Walk this way, Coldplay's sky full of stars and It's a lovely day' filled the lounge as Robin class sang their hearts out! The children then enjoyed reading and sharing their handwritten stories with the residents, alongside a piece of Mrs Baker's banana bread for a treat! It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon for all involved. The children loved talking to the residents, sharing stories and finding out what they did before they retired; the residents loved spending time with the children, who they described as 'full of life!'
Robin class couldn't stop talking about it and can't wait for a return visit soon!
