Our inclusive school is looking for an exceptional and dynamic person to lead a team of passionate staff. The headteacher works with parents, governors, staff, and the wider community, to ‘Achieve Excellence Together’ and ensure all children succeed and thrive.

  • Part of a diverse village community, the school has been transformed over the last 5 years to become an inclusive mainstream school with a focus on child-led learning.

The role

The headteacher will:

  • lead, develop and support the direction, vision, values, and priorities of the school
  • continue to work in partnership with the governing body, senior leadership team and school staff, providing overall strategic leadership for the school.
  • lead and manage teaching and learning throughout the school, recognising the whole person.
  • have overall responsibility and accountability for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils within the school.
  • ensure the continuation of existing, successful initiatives, whilst leading on a clear vision for school improvement.
  • develop and evaluate the school's policies, practices, and procedures.

 

The ideal candidate

This appointment provides an attractive opportunity for an existing headteacher, experienced deputy / assistant headteacher or experienced senior leader.

Teaching Assistant

We are a small primary school in the heart of the village of Newport, Essex. We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, skilled and motivated teaching assistant.

 

Applications are invited from Teaching Assistants who:

 

  • Wish to make a difference to children’s learning
  • Are able to assist children on an individual basis but also work as a member of the team
  • Have excellent communication skills, with children, colleagues and parents
  • Can demonstrate good organisational skills
  • Can support inclusion in the classroom, ensuring all pupils feel involved with all tasks and activities
  • Under the direction of the teacher, support the school curriculum, including English and maths

 

You will need to be:

 

  • Positive and enthusiastic
  • Calm and flexible in your approach to the role
  • Reliable, resilient and able to take initiative

Monday to Friday: 8.45 to 1.00pm

This is term time only plus training days.

 

 

Catering Assistant

7.5 hours per week 12.30pm until 2.00pm Monday to Friday

Pay Scale 2 Point 3 (£10.79per hour)

General kitchen duties:

· Clearing away

· Washing up

· Cleaning

· Assisting with preparation of food

· Assisting with lunchtime service

Training will be given.
